Why can't I open HBO GO?


HBO Go problems are very common and often occur at the worst time - for example, when you sit down for Game of Thrones or incite the Wire or Barry and don't want to spend a lot of time looking for a solution.

I can’t open HBO. What should I do?
If a service error occurs while trying to use HBO GO, do the following:

Step 1: update HBO GO

Computer: Go to hbogo.com and update the page thoroughly. To find out how to do this, search the Google for "Hard Refresh" + the name of your browser (e.g. "Hard Refresh Chrome").

Step 2: restart your device
·         Turn off your device.
·         Wait 10 seconds and turn it on again.
·         Open HBO GO and check if the problem is resolved.

Step 3: Play another show or film
Try playing different shows and movies to see if the problem occurs when trying to play a show or movie.

Step 4: Try a different device
Try streaming HBO GO on another device that is connected to the same network. This will help you determine if the problem is related to your network or a specific device (see Our Supported Devices). If the same error occurs on another device, go to step 6.

Step 6: restart your network devices
1.      Disconnect the power supply from your network devices (modem, router, etc.).
2.      Wait 30 seconds.
3.      Reconnect the modem to the power supply and wait for it to connect to the Internet (about a minute).
4.      Reconnect the router to the power supply and wait for a connection to the Internet.
5.      Open HBO GO and check if the problem is resolved.
