Does Charter email use POP or IMAP?

How to set up Charter email using POP and IMAP?
1. Start Outlook and click on the "File" tab. Select "Info" and under "Account information" click the "Add account" button. The automatic account setup wizard opens.
2. Select the "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" check box and click "Next". Select "Internet E-Mail" and click on "Next".
3. Enter your name as you want the recipients of your e-mail messages to appear in the Your name field. For example, enter your first and last name. Enter your full charter email address (including "@ charter.net") in the Email Address field. Select "POP3" as the account type.
4. Enter "pop.charter.net" in the Incoming server field if you only access your email account from the computer you are using. Enter "imap.charter.net" if you want to use multiple computers or mobile devices.
5. Enter "smtp.charter.net" in the Outgoing mail server field. Enter your full charter email address in the Username field and enter your charter password in the Password field.

IMAP port settings for CHARTER.NET

Incoming port: 143, outgoing port: 25
Secure - port: 993 and security type: SSL / TLS (accept all certificates)
Unsafe - Port: 143 and Security Type: None (Accept all certificates
Not checked: This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
Use the following type of encrypted connection: None
Note: If you use the settings for secure SSL / TLS, select the checkbox "This service requires a secure connection (SSL)" in outgoing and incoming emails.

General SMTP port settings for CHARTER.NET
1.      Outgoing (SMTP) secure - port: 465 for and security type: SSL / TLS (accept all certificates)
2.      Outgoing (SMTP roaming server) Secure - port: 587 and security type: SSL / TLS (accept all certificates)
3.      Outgoing (SMTP) - Port: 25 and security type: None (accept all certificates)
4.      Outgoing (SMTP roaming server) Insecure - Port: 587 and security type: None (accept all certificates)
