How do I activate HBO Go on my TV?

To activate HBO GO on your SMART TV (Apple TV, Android TV, LG TV, Samsung TV):

1.      Open the HBO GO app on your Smart TV

2.      Click on "Connect your provider account".

3.      Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your Smart TV

4.      Go to https://www.itforsoftware.com/hbo-go-activate/ on your computer or mobile web browser, or scan the QR code displayed on the TV screen with your mobile phone

5.      If you activate using the activation URL, enter the code displayed on the TV screen to continue. If you activate with the QR code and the HBO GO app is already installed on your mobile phone and you are logged in, your SMART TV will be activated automatically as soon as you scan the QR code.

What do I need to register for HBO GO?

HBO GO is a free streaming service that is included in your paid HBO subscription through a cable or satellite television provider.

To use HBO GO, you need two things:

1.      An HBO subscription through a participating TV provider (see next heading). If you don't have an HBO subscription, visit HBO.com/ways-to-get to learn how to get HBO.

2.      The username and password of your TV provider account.

Does my TV provider support HBO GO?

If you get HBO as part of your cable or satellite television package, you may have access to HBO GO. How to find out if your TV provider supports HBO GO:

1.      Go to play.HBOGO.com/login on your computer.

2.      Check that your TV provider appears in the All providers list.

My TV provider is not listed

If your TV provider is not on the list of providers, HBO GO is not supported. HBO wants all of our subscribers to have access to HBO GO. We recommend that you contact your TV provider and ask them for support for HBO GO.
