Where do I find my HBO GO ID?

What is an HBO GO ID?

The HBO GO ID is a unique user name that you select when you first log in and create a profile. It is only a display name and is not used to log in to HBO GO. Your HBO GO ID should contain between 3 and 14 characters and must not contain any spaces or special characters.

Do one of the following to view or change your HBO GO ID:

·         Phone or tablet: Open HBO GO and tap the profile icon. Then tap on the Settings icon (top right corner) and then on Profile.

·         Computer: Log in to HBOGO.com. Your HBO GO ID is displayed in the top right corner (next to the profile icon). Select the profile icon and then Profile.

Problem with HBO Go ID and login

So I downloaded the HBO Go app. Then I registered via the user interface and created an HBO GO ID. Then I used the app. The next time I went into the app, I was asked to log in again. Try as I could, I can't find where to enter my existing HBO Go ID, and I can't log in again with the same ID (HBO GO says it's "in use".

Incidentally, the same problem appears to exist on the HBO GO website via the web browser. I just don't see anything anywhere to log in with an existing HBO GO ID.

How do I change my HBO GO ID or password?

To change your email address or password, you must be logged in to HBO GO. If you are unable to sign in, please see Sign in troubleshooting.

COMPUTER

1.      Go to HBONOW.com and log in (if necessary).

2.      Select the profile icon in the top right corner and then choose Profile.

3.      Select the Edit Profile button. If you have not recently entered your password, you will be asked to enter your password. No password field?

4.      Enter a new email or password, and then select Save Changes.

TELEPHONE OR TABLET

1.      Open HBO GO and then tap the profile icon (log in if necessary).

2.      Tap the Settings icon (upper right corner), then tap Profile.

3.      Tap Edit (top right corner). When prompted, enter your HBO GO password and choose OK (this is required if you have not recently logged in). No password field?

4.      Enter a new email or password, and then tap Save.

Already used email?

If you enter an email address that is already linked to an HBO GO account, you cannot save your changes. In this case, you have to enter a different email address. How to fix HBO go down & HBO go keeps buffering issues.

TV

You can see on your TV with which email address you are logged in. Here's how:

·         Open the HBO NOW app and select the profile icon (top right corner).

·         Choose Sign Out.

·         Here you can see which email you are logged in with (logged in as).

You don't see a password field?

Make sure you are signed in to HBO NOW (and not to HBO GO).

If your subscription is via Prime Video Channels, you do not have an HBO NOW password. Instead, sign in with your Amazon email address and password. (Source – HBO official)
